Material

The heavier, larger or higher an article and thus its outer carton, the more likely it is that double wall corrugated board will be used, which offers greater stability and cushioning properties compared to single wall cartons. There are no concrete limits in terms of weight specifications or sizes from which the recommendation for single wall or double wall boxes could be derived.
