... we say to our newest team member Henry.
Since the spring of this year, he has strengthened our warehouse team in picking and numerous additional facility tasks within the company.
We owe Henry's presence with us to special circumstances. In 2019, he came to Germany as an asylum seeker from Venezuela. Due to difficult political circumstances, growing crime, and uncertain living conditions, there was no perspective for him and his family in his home country. Food shortages, lack of education, and hardly any medical care made it increasingly difficult to manage everyday life. They put everything on the line, sold their belongings, and fled to Germany.
Upon arrival, he volunteered for more than a year in the church, where he met our CEO Michael. The sympathy was immediate, and so was the desire to support the family. Michael pulled out all the stops to bring Henry to [BOXXCO].
After successfully obtaining his forklift license in recent weeks, learning more German is now on the agenda. As a trained social worker and engineer, Henry finds it easy to delve into new subject areas.
Additionally, more tasks are coming his way. After already swiftly and conscientiously retrieving goods from the shelves, packing them, and making them ready for dispatch with the pallet truck, he will soon be loading and unloading trucks.
We are happy and grateful to have Henry on the team and wouldn't want to miss him. His temperament and good mood are contagious. Helpful and always there when needed, that's our Latino gentleman Henry, who also holds the door open for the ladies on our team or clears the lunch table.
It's great to have you with us, Henry!
